My Approach

My style is warm, empathic, and thoughtful while also being active, pragmatic, and concrete. I provide a safe environment for clients to engage in deep reflection and develop and implement the necessary tools to create the change they desire. I do this by taking a collaborative and client-centered approach allowing clients to guide the direction and depth of the work. I am attuned to the needs of the client to determine the best treatment approach and draw from various modalities to help clients reach their goals. I value clients’ perspectives and facilitate greater insight into their experiences through curiosity and inquiry. I also highlight the client’s strengths and empower them to discover and develop the skills they need to optimize their well-being.

Mind-Body-Spirit

The mind-body-spirit connection is at the heart of living authentically. When mindfulness-based practices align the mind, body, and spirit, the authentic self is more readily accessible to be understood and integrated into your life. When we are in touch with our authentic selves, we have a greater understanding of who we are, how we feel, what we need, and how to meet our needs. The union of the mind-body-spirit can enhance your ability to trust yourself, improve your mood and relationships, and establish a greater sense of purpose and a stronger connection to the world. Additionally, having a deeper relationship with yourself offers longer-lasting healing on an individual and collective level.

Experience

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of San Francisco and my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. I have gained clinical experience at various community mental health organizations, schools, UCSF Children’s Hospital, and a group psychotherapy practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2020 I have been in private practice in Nevada County and across the state of California. My experience with diverse populations has helped hone my clinical skills and solidified my interest in my clinical specialties.
